(From a discussion with the professions during dinner)

A village needs at least a school, a church, and a convenience  store.

A town is an upgraded village with a bar.

Anything else is like a small city.

My favorite thing to see on the roads are the pit stop restarante y bar(usually with a Coca Cola sign on top) These places have the best vistas but are the only structures around normally.

This entry made me laugh! Can’t be a bar without Coca-cola! 😛 Unbeknownst to me, it is probably 100% true too.

I’ve made it a plan to get at least once: a rum and coke or a moehuito while I’m here. The funny truth is that we have not been around many of the real towns in Costa Rica so when March rolls around we will actually get to meet the country from a cultural, not ecological perspective. It will be a nice break!
